The CAC Office on Aging’s Senior Companion Program, an annual fundraising event benefitting the Senior Companion Program, will host its annual Snowflake Ball on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Rothchild Conference Center, 8807 Kingston Pike in Knoxville.

Dance the night away at one of Knoxville’s most anticipated fundraisers—the Snowflake Ball. Guests will swing and sway to the smooth sounds of the Ensemble Swingtime Band, enjoy a delicious dinner, and bid on exciting Silent Auction items. Attendees can also vote for their favorite Snowflake Ball King and Queen nominees and watch the highly anticipated crowning to close out the evening.

“The Snowflake Ball is more than a night of celebration—it’s a way for our community to come together and make a real difference in the lives of older adults who are isolated or homebound,” said Michelle Peckham, program manager. “Every ticket purchased and every dollar raised helps ensure older adults in Knox County have companionship, support, and dignity.”

Registration ends Thursday, January 29 at 11:59 p.m. For tickets and information about the Snowflake Ball, please visit knoxseniors.org. Tickets for the fundraiser are $100 each.

Funds raised from the Snowflake Ball support the Senior Companion Program, which mobilizes volunteers 55 years and older to provide free, one-on-one support to homebound, lonely, and isolated older adults.  Senior Companion volunteers receive a small stipend to help offset basic expenses such as food and medicine.  Senior Companions assist with meal preparation, medication reminders, respite care, friendship, companionship, and more.

They support older individuals who are recovering from illness or surgery, receiving hospice care, experiencing loneliness or isolation, or living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.

More than 400 older adults in Knox County are currently waiting for a Senior Companion.
