Autumn in East Tennessee

By Ralphine Major

It is a favorite season for many.  Autumn brings with her many moments of simple beauty and pure enjoyment.  Chilly mornings, warm days, and cool evenings.  The smell of hot apple cider.  Blue fall skies.  Apple festivals and football games.  Visits to the pumpkin patch.  Sunlight filtering through leaves changing from summer green to colorful hues of orange, yellow, and red.  Plans for upcoming family holiday gatherings to give thanks and to celebrate our Saviour’s birth.  No wonder the simple joys of fall are so highly anticipated all year.

We, too, have seasons of our lives beginning with Birth.  Childhood years filled with so much to learn.  Teenage years filled with fun and friendships.  Adulthood often occupied with more schooling, career, and family.  Retirement years that bring slower days.  Senior adult living with fewer responsibilities.  Finally, the end of life.  There is a season for each part of our life.  Enjoy your season of life.  Enjoy Autumn in East Tennessee!

Words of Faith: “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”  Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV).
