“You see lots of Easter bunnies and candies in stores but not much pertaining to Christ,” a lady told my brother recently.  On my next trip to the store, I remembered what she had said and paid particular attention to the merchandise.  Upon entering, there was a table with lots of religious books, Bibles, and books with Easter themes.  But, most of the shelves were stocked full of Easter baskets waiting to be filled, a variety of stuffed animals, and sweet treats galore.  This is so sad.

The season of Lent began several weeks ago on Ash Wednesday.  Many churches observe this time in preparation for Easter.  This year will mark the second Easter during COVID-19.  Last year, our nation was locked down, and churches remained closed on Easter Sunday.  Though many churches are now open for in-person services this year, some people are still choosing to worship virtually and watch services on television.  We are so fortunate to have the technology available for worship online.  Even Easter Sunrise services may not have as many participants as in previous years.  However you choose to celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, be safe, be healthy, and be especially blessed!  He Lives!

Words of Faith:  “And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.  He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.  Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”  Matthew 28:5-6 (KJV)
