Spring.  It is the season of Easter celebration, new life, and new growth with all its hope and beauty.  The mountains of East Tennessee are majestic especially in the spring.  But spring of 2022 once again brought tragedy to the region.

Wildfires brought more destruction to Sevier County, a place that has seen much devastation in recent years.  Scenes of billowing smoke were eerie reminders of other major wildfires.  With today’s incredible technology, it is possible to see close-up views of the actual fires from miles away.  The image shown here was taken from neighboring northeast Knox County.  To see such clarity from a long distance is truly amazing.  It is important to keep the people of Sevier County who have been affected by this disaster in our prayers.  They have suffered greatly and face difficult days ahead as they recover and rebuild.  God’s blessings on them and those who help in their recovery efforts.

Words of Faith: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” Ephesians 1:3 (KJV).
