Most Universities Hire Only Far-Left Professors

This past June I wrote about how most major universities have now become leftist brainwashing factories. They will almost never hire a conservative to teach a subject that comes close to touching on political issues.
On the rare occasions when conservatives are invited to speak on campuses, the schools often have to bring in extra security because left-wing students (and sometimes professors) are so rude and hateful they will try to shout down the guest and not let him or her speak.
But one of the worst trends is the way top universities will hire defeated or retiring liberal elected officials to become professors while almost never doing the same for former conservative officeholders.
The only recent exception I can think of is the hiring of former Rep. Liz Cheney by the University of Virginia. Of course, the only reason she was hired was because she very publicly attacked and was attacked by Donald Trump.
The only way a former Republican elected official would be considered to teach at a major university, he or she would have to have been portrayed in our liberal media as a moderate Republican (meaning very politically correct), or be willing to always attack the Republican Party.
In my June column, I gave four examples of defeated Democrat officials who had been hired by major universities: 1) Hillary Clinton by Columbia; 2) former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot by Harvard; 3) former New York Mayor Bill de Blasio by Harvard, now New York University; and 4) Chesa Boudin by the University of California at Berkeley School of Law.
Boudin was the District Attorney for San Francisco, but he was so radical that he was recalled (kicked out of office) even by the very liberal voters of that city for his refusal to crack down on looters, shoplifters, and drug dealers.
Boudin has very close and interesting ties to Barack Obama and the very far left Weathermen Bombers of the late 60s and 70s.
Boudin is the son of Kathy Boudin, who passed away on May 1, 2022. This is the Wikipedia introduction to the late Ms. Boudin:
“Kathy Boudin was an American radical leftist who served 23 years in prison for felony murder based on her role in the 1981 Brink’s robbery. Boudin was a founding member of the militant Weather Underground organization, which engaged in bombings of government buildings to express opposition to U.S. foreign policy and racism. The 1981 robbery resulted in the killing of two Nyack, New York police officers and one security guard, and serious injury to another security guard; Boudin was arrested attempting to flee after the getaway vehicle she occupied was stopped by police.”
Surprise, surprise – this Wikipedia entry ends by reporting that “after earning a doctorate, Boudin became an adjunct professor at Columbia University.”
Because his mother was in prison, Chesa Boudin was raised by two other Weather Underground members – Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.
Before you sympathize with him since his mother was in prison, think of the nine children who lost their fathers in that robbery. The youngest child was only six months old.
Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn were husband and wife. Ayers was the wealthy son of the Chairman and CEO of Commonwealth Edison. He once said “Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home. Kill your parents, that’s where it’s really at.” He claimed to have participated in 30 bombings and told the New York Times he wished he had bombed more.
When Dohrn was told of all the California murders by Charles Manson and his followers, she is reported to have said “Dig it. First they killed those pigs (police), then they ate dinner in the same room with them, then they even shoved a fork into a victim’s stomach! Wild!”
The couple turned themselves in to the police in 1980, but unfortunately, charges were dropped because the FBI had used illegal wiretaps to investigate them.
Barack Obama opened his campaign for the Illinois State Senate in 1996 in their Chicago home. By that time, both Ayers and Dohrn were – you guessed it – college professors.
Dohrn taught from 1990 to 2013 as a professor at the Northwestern University Law School even though she never took the Illinois Bar Exam. Ayers taught until he retired as a professor of Education at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
Because of their extremist and violent backgrounds, Obama tried to downplay his involvement with them. However, Ayers was given a $50 million grant to found the Annenberg Challenge for the Chicago schools in 1995. He selected Obama as his first chairman, a position he held for eight years until 2003.
The national media, of course, basically covered up Obama’s extremist connections to Ayers, Dohrn and others because most in the media desperately wanted Obama in the White House.

Tom Lewis, a businessman who had contributed millions to Arizona State University over the last two decades, decided last July to withdraw another six-figure donation because he was so disgusted by all the leftist brainwashing going on at that university.
People need to stop contributing to these universities and Republican legislatures need to stop giving them so much taxpayer money unless and until they are absolutely sure this refusal to hire conservative professors has ended.
