The Missing Element

Have you noticed how quiet President Trump has been for the last several weeks? Yes, he continues to do rallies and speak out; after all he is campaigning for the presidency. But even the perverse mainstream media have noticed that their nemesis is calm and measured since the Biden debate debacle.
The undoubtedly scripted interview with former Clinton-ista George [Snuffleupagus] did nothing to reassure the nation that the debate was a “one-off” due to jet lag (two weeks after he was home) or due to a cold. The interview just poured gasoline on the Democrat dumpster fire. And then, in a rare instance of media truthfulness, Stephanopoulos admitted he didn’t think Biden could serve four more years. Therefore, a vote for Ole’ Joe is a vote for cackling Harris. Perhaps Joe can rescue himself in a rare press conference to be held just after this column’s deadline. Either Biden and the Dems are desperate or the donor class has given him an ultimatum. We’ll see…
Biden was able to read a 15 minute speech from the teleprompter last week in front of NATO. Actually, I’m glad he succeeded, didn’t get lost, fall down or further embarrass our country on the world stage. By contrast, the vigorous President Trump did a one and a half hour rally the night before the NATO address, long past Joe’s bedtime. But don’t worry about the “2:00 a.m. call.” Dr. Jill is there for an emergency.
I don’t know what kind of books President Trump reads, but hopefully, like the Founders, he reads history and is following General Napoleon Bonaparte’s advice translated and paraphrased: “Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.”
As the Democrat party (it’s certainly not the democratic party) tears itself apart over the Potemkin President’s refusal to end his reelection campaign (search the archives and read last week’s column), I can’t help it, but my schadenfreude is tingling. Tragically, it’s our country and the American people who are suffering. I don’t care that Dark Brandon, Dr. Jill, Hunter, the Democrats and their flying media monkeys are now roasting on a spit over the fire their lies and policies have kindled. They all played dumb and covered for Ole’ Joe. The Associated Press explained, “Biden is often sharp and focused, but sometimes confused and forgetful.” This certainly reassures me about the Commander in Chief with the nuclear football.
If your friends and neighbors had been reading The Knoxville Focus and considered the reporting and opinions of the non-traditional media, they would not have been blindsided by the debate debacle. More than 50 million watched Biden destroy himself and, probably, Democrat candidates across the nation. The dam of lies broke with the debate.
I find it ludicrous and pathetic that media types and Democrats whine that they didn’t know Biden was but a shell of a president. Bull! And I have no sympathy for the “useful idiots” duped by The View, who listen to Rachael Maddow or read the NY Times or the Bezos (Washington) Post. The Dems, libs and celebs chose ideology and party over country, and they got caught.
My sympathy lies with sane Americans, not for those with TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome). Make no mistake, their mea culpa is disingenuous. The media, Hollyweird and Democrats are just trying to cover their booties. The calls for Brandon to step down are to protect their power because he has now become an obstacle to their power.
How ironic that the Democrats who for years have preached “replacement theory” of American citizens with illegals through open borders, now can’t replace Biden. He won’t step down because Dr. Jill and Hunter won’t allow it, and in his moderate stage of dementia he thinks he’s fine.
The ruling class Dems are in a real mess. If they force Biden out they will disenfranchise those who voted for him and risk losing the hundreds of millions of dollars in Biden’s campaign war chest. Furthermore, in many states, Biden will remain on the ballot even if he’s replaced and adding alternatives at this late stage is problematic. I find it ironic that the debate revealed the alternative media were the ones telling Americans the truth about Biden. The mainstream media may be the ones ultimately replaced.
We are a divided nation like no time in my life. There has always been Democrat versus Republican, right versus left and 300 million opinions in our diverse country. But as a student of history and an observer of modernity, there is one causative factor that stands out to explain our divided country. In the Civil War era it was slavery. But not even the current controversy over abortion is the principal factor in our divisive culture.
I believe the principal cause of our national division is to be found in the first paragraphs of the July 4, 1776 Declaration of Independence. If you haven’t recently read this acme of Enlightenment thought, I challenge you to do so again. The clarity of reason and sublime philosophy of Thomas Jefferson’s words are America’s founding principles and the cornerstone of American exceptionalism. The Constitution would follow in 1789 after the Revolutionary War. The first document describes a “value” system. The second is our “operational” system.
Jefferson said, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among them are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness – that to secure these rights, governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”
And there you have it. I was created by God and given unalienable rights by God which cannot be taken away by any government. We once believed this. We once taught this to our children. But in our increasingly secular state, God has been cast off. Don’t believe this? I’ll give you an example: In a Congressional hearing, the odious Jerry Nadler said, “God’s will is no concern of this Congress.”
We must return to the principles that founded this nation. We either choose big government or Big God. I stand with God, not the Nadlers of this world.
