It is the time of year when that special morning welcomes children with baskets full of chocolate bunnies and colored eggs.  It is the time of year when beautiful white lilies adorn church sanctuaries.  It is the time of year when a message of hope is shared once again.  It is the time of year when we celebrate Easter.

The story is the same, the message just as powerful.  For years, still pictures and drama productions have shared the elements of Easter—Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey as the crowd waved palm branches, Jesus sharing The Last Supper with his disciples, his arrest and brutal crucifixion on a cross, his nail-scarred hands, the stone rolled away from the empty tomb.  John 3:16 (KJV) is one of the most quoted scriptures in the Bible: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  By simple faith, we must believe that the Son of God died a cruel death on the cross and rose from the grave to save us from our sins so that we may have eternal life.

May you and your family rejoice in the hope of salvation and have a blessed 2022 Easter, the most important day of the year.  Happy Easter!  He is risen!
