Truth In Labeling
We have labeling laws for the products we ingest into our bodies, and we’re coming to find out that many of the things we like to eat aren’t good for us. We need a labeling law for our candidates, and the mainstream media should not be allowed to misrepresent the contents of that candidate’s character or views, because many of them aren’t good for us either.
All of us remember when Joe Biden was running against Donald Trump in 2020, and the corporate media labeled him a “moderate” or “centrist.” That turned out to be very untrue. Biden headed the most leftist administration in this country’s history. Abigail Spanberger, the new governor of Virginia, was constantly labeled by the mainstream media as a centrist candidate or a moderate. Spanberger’s mantra when she was running was that she would be a governor who was intent on “lowering costs, keeping our communities safe, and strengthening our economy.”
After 48 hours as governor, Spanberger immediately announced her own version of secession from the union, saying she would end Virginia’s cooperation with ICE. The Democrats have won majorities in both houses of Virginia’s legislature and they are busy sponsoring bills to abolish those mandatory minimum sentences for certain offenses, including rape, manslaughter and the assault of a law enforcement officer. They also propose to place a tax on every retail delivery service, which would include Amazon, DoorDash and Uber Eats. In addition, they are proposing legislation to double taxes for what they consider to be high earners. Spanberger, who promised during the campaign to create investment opportunities for business, has a legislature of her own party proposing to create a 3.8% net investment tax. Now, there’s a program for a moderate, “centrist” Democrat. Enjoy!
KPD Gets Drones
Knoxvillians, rejoice! The Lord Mayor of Knoxville, her ladyship Indya Kincannon, has assured us that we will all be safer because city police have drones to monitor crime from the skies. Of course, the City of Knoxville, in its rush to make our citizens safer, has been busy hiring consultants to tell us how best to hire social workers armed with fly swats to combat crime, perhaps in their Spiderman and Wonder Woman costumes for Marvel Week. All hail the mouse that roared!
No-Class Newsom
California Governor Gavin Newsom brought his Hollywood glam idea of good governance to Davos, introduced there apparently by Alex Soros, spawn of billionaire George Soros. Nobody has explained just why Alex Soros would be at Davos, as he has never done anything of importance, aside from being the son and heir of George Soros.
Newsom complained that world leaders were being too nice, too polite to the president of the United States. California is circling the bowl, on the edge of bankruptcy because of its unsustainable expenditures on welfare and extending every social service to illegal aliens, and seeming to surrender to unions on pensions that the private citizens who fund them will never see in their lifetimes. We haven’t even begun to figure out how much fraud and abuse there’s been in those programs, but I venture a guess it is MUCH larger than that in Minnesota. Look at the pace of the rebuilding in the once-ritzy Pacific Palisades that the dual incompetence of Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass let burn to the ground. Thousands of homes have burned and the government is impeding the progress of homeowners to rebuild their homes as their insurance money is running out. Neither Newsom nor Bass could likely run a peanut stand. Yet Newsom badmouths the president in front of world leaders. Those same leaders know something the left in this country tries to deny as best as they can.
Those kooks and liars talk about what a terrible country America is. However, no country on earth has ever come close to matching the generosity of the American people. The United States fought for and brought democracy to Europe after the First World War at a time when all of Europe, with a few exceptions, was ruled by kings, kaisers, czars and emperors. We also paid for it, and only ONE country ever repaid us for the debts they had incurred. No one should ever forget that it was the United States that fed war-torn Europe after the First World War.
America saved people all over the world from Adolf Hitler and the Japanese Empire, which literally proposed to enslave the rest of the world. Once again, without the United States of America, Britain would have fallen and so would have China and the Soviet Union. The economic might, industrial power and men and women of the United States won the Second World War for the rest of the world. The United States rebuilt the countries that lost the war and once again fed much of the world and prevented wide-scale starvation, pestilence and death for multitudes of people.
That makes all the talk by the idiots of the Left all the more stupid when they spew their moronic talk about the Gestapo and fascism. The very fact that they can go out and protest puts the lie to the truth of authoritarianism.
Protesters Need To Be Arrested And Prosecuted
Just when a person thinks Don Lemon can’t fall any lower, he strikes again. The only time the aptly-named Lemon can ever exceed expectations is when he yet again scrapes the bottom of the barrel. He has managed it once again with his intrusion into a church service in St. Paul, Minnesota. He knew exactly what he was doing and for those who cry he and the unhinged morons with him who trespassed on the church’s property and their right to worship, which is guaranteed by the Constitution, need to answer why the Biden Justice Department could arrest and imprison prolife activists, including 75-year-old women, whose crime was entering an abortion clinic and praying. That, too, was a protest. The truth goes back to the double standard so well loved by this country’s leftists, who are the true authoritarians, as there is no limit to the lengths they will go to crush any dissent against their own political dogma.
No one has the right to interfere with the law, passed by Congress and signed by a duly-elected president of the United States, whether they like the law or disagree with it. The Confederate states already tried that. Does someone who doesn’t like the color of your house or the shrubbery around it have the right to burst into your house whenever they feel like it to protest what they dislike about your abode? Does someone or their friends have the right to bust into your house to protest the sign in your yard or the US flag flying outside or your pride flag?
I think not but it may be coming.
Practice What You Preach
Bruce Springsteen is treating fans to statements about politics and illegal aliens. Bruce has a net worth estimated to be around $1.2 billion dollars. Springsteen could buy a lot of houses around the world for a lot of folks and even turn his own over to some deserving illegal alien and live in a modest tract home himself. His tours generate something like $1 billion dollars annually, and he could donate it all to charity. How many illegal aliens has Bruce invited to live with him? How many clean his house, scrub the toilets, cook his lunches and dinner, prune the shrubbery and cut his grass?
