No speeches! No rallies!
It’s a great opportunity for the public to visit with candidates and elected officials as they mingle in a summer pig roast setting.
Catering provided Calhoun’s, beer and beverages provided by Smoky Mountain Brewery and live music.
Elected officials will once again be serving BBQ while collecting “tips” for their respective non-profit organizations.
“This event has grown each year and the support from the community and the greater turnout from our elected officials has been amazing to watch,” said Bryan Daniels, Blount Partnership president/CEO.
“With this being an election year, this is one more opportunity for people to meet with the candidates in a casual setting.”
Officials on hand to attend at press time include Reps. Art Swann and Bob Ramsey, Blount County Mayor Ed Mitchell, Louisville Mayor Tom Bickers along with numerous Blount County commissioners and city council members.
