Knox County Parks & Rec to Host Second Annual Glow Party

Knox County Parks & Recreation will light up Ball Camp Park from 8:30-10:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug.18, for the second annual Glow Party.

The event will feature a neon dance party, audio-controlled lasers, blacklights, glow-in-the-dark activities, music from many decades, a foam pit, body and splatter paint zones, themed concessions, and glow stick give aways. Concessions and merchandise will also be available for purchase.

The event is free and open to the public including families, teens, and young adults. Folks are encouraged to wear bright, florescent colors and comfortable clothing that can get messy. Please note, however, that alcohol is not permitted at this event.

“Recreation is about more than green space,” said Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs. “We are thrilled to see our Parks & Recreation staff finding unique ways to bring people into our incredible parks.”

“These events are about togetherness,” said the Parks & Recreation Senior Director Joe Mack. “We are working hard to create new experiences that highlight the best of what these parks and their neighborhoods have to offer through creative, non-traditional social experiences.”

Ball Camp Park is located at 8734 Ball Camp Pike.
