The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will host the KSO 32nd Annual Free Pilot Flying J Independence Day Concert on Monday, July 4, 2016 on the Performance Lawn at World’s Fair Park at 8:00 p.m. (free to attend; no tickets are required). Music Director Aram Demirjian (AIR-um Deh-MUR-jun) will conduct the Orchestra in patriotic music as part of the City of Knoxville’s Festival on the Fourth. The KSO will honor Coach Pat Summitt with a moment of silence and an on-screen tribute in conjunction with WBIR-TV Channel 10 while the Orchestra plays “Rocky Top.”

 

What:   This free, family-friendly concert includes patriotic tributes and a spectacular fireworks finale. This concert is free to attend; no tickets are required. Blankets and lawn chairs encouraged. View event details here.

 

Who:    The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will perform under the baton of conductor Aram Demirjian as his first performance as KSO Music Director. Musical selections include the Star Spangled Banner, America the Beautiful, 1812 Overture, as well as Amazing Grace and Liberty for All, featuring soloist Austin Kness.
