Voters in Knox County will have an opportunity to hear from candidates for Knox County Commission in a Zoom meeting next week. The forum will be moderated by Blake Stevens of WATE.

The forum will all begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 16.

In previous weeks, LWV hosted forums for candidates in the following races: Tennessee House of Representatives, Districts 14, 18 and 89 (June 23), Tennessee House of Representatives, Districts 13, 15, 16 and 19 (July 2), and Tennessee State Senate, District 6, and U.S. Congress, District 2 (July 7).

These forums are sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Knoxville/Knox County; Knoxville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; Knoxville NAACP; Centro Hispano de East Tennessee; YWCA Knoxville & Tennessee Valley; Planned Parenthood of Tennessee and North Mississippi; and Howard Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy. The forums will also be livestreamed and posted via most of the partners’ Facebook pages.
