Rev. Jason Sluss has devoted his life to serving the Lord and sharing the Gospel. The son of Daniel and Donna Sluss, Jason was saved at the age of 10 during a revival meeting on New Year’s Eve in 1990 and baptized at Texas Valley Baptist Church in early 1991.

On August 25, 1996, Jason answered God’s call to preach. He was licensed as a Gospel minister on September 5, 1999, at Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Powell. On June 9, 2002, he was elected pastor of Mynatt Road Baptist Church and ordained at Unity on August 25, 2002.

Jason married his lifetime sweetheart, Ashley, on December 20, 2002. After serving together at Mynatt Road for three years, God led them into evangelism. For the next 19 years, they traveled and ministered together through evangelism, faithfully following God’s leading.

On October 20, 2024, Jason was elected pastor of New Hope Baptist Church & Christian School. At that time, Ashley had already served at New Hope Christian School as a middle school teacher for 13 years. Being brought together to serve the Lord in the same place has been a special blessing to them, and they are thankful for the opportunity to serve the Lord and the Corryton community together.

From a young boy accepting Christ during a revival to a lifetime of preaching, pastoring, evangelism, and serving alongside his wife, Rev. Jason Sluss’s life is a testimony of God’s faithfulness and the blessings of following His call. New Hope Baptist Church is blessed and thankful to have him as our pastor and looks forward to many more years of serving God together!
