Trees Knoxville invites the community to celebrate a decade of growing a healthier urban forest at a special spring FUN-raiser hosted at Xül Beer Company on Sunday, April 12, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. This family-friendly event will bring together supporters, volunteers, and neighbors for an afternoon of connection, education, and fun—all in support of Knoxville’s tree canopy.
Over the past 10 years, Trees Knoxville has planted, protected, and promoted trees across the city through programs such as Canopies for Campus and Volunteer Forester training. These initiatives expand tree coverage while creating meaningful opportunities for residents of all ages to engage with and care for their local environment.
The event will feature a silent auction, games, and family-friendly activities, and a community tree adoption event, giving attendees the chance to take home a tree and contribute directly to Knoxville’s growing canopy.
In addition, a percentage of beer sales during the event will be donated to Trees Knoxville, furthering its mission and impact across the city.
“We’re excited to celebrate this milestone with the community that has made our work possible,” said Melissa Hinten, executive director. “This event is both a reflection of what we’ve accomplished together and an opportunity to keep growing Knoxville’s urban forest for years to come.”
The event is generously sponsored by TVAMP.
