Come celebrate the Knoxville Civil War Roundtable’s 30th Anniversary! On Tuesday, April 9, 2013, the Roundtable will host noted author, professor and Civil War historian Brian S. Wills, Ph.D as its speaker. At 8:00 p.m., Dr. Wills will speak on the topic “Gen. George H. Thomas: As True as Steel.” In addition to the superb speaker, drawings for free Civil War books will be held several times during the meeting. The celebration and talk are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and will be at the Bearden Banquet Hall at 5806 Kingston Pike (next to Buddy’s BBQ and .2 mile east of the intersection of Kingston Pike and Northshore Dr.) To attend the talk only is $5.00. (Students with current IDs are admitted free.) Alternatively, you can come at 7:00 p.m. and enjoy a delicious buffet dinner which is $15.00 for members and $17.00 for non-members (including talk).
