The Greatest Scandal?

If people were asked what is the greatest scandal to ever overtake a presidential administration, my guess is most would say “Watergate” under President Richard Nixon. The ongoing developments being released by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard about the Russia Hoax seem to dwarf that historic event easily. James Clapper, who was the director of the National Intelligence Agency from 2010-2017, just acknowledged on CNN that he has lawyered up.  As more information becomes readily available, that looks like a good decision on his part.

The trail of an unverifiable report that became the centerpiece of an excuse to cripple Donald Trump’s first administration is a complex web of deceit and sleight of hand.  The intelligence community during the Obama administration let slip the claim that Russian President Vladimir Putin had interfered in the 2016 election to help elect Donald Trump.  Evidently, that was conceived and birthed based on “one scant, unclear and unverifiable fragment of a sentence from one of the substandard [intelligence] reports,” Paul Sperry has written on Real Clear Investigations.  Sperry’s article is highly interesting, compelling and disturbing as he connects the dots which show the main cast of characters involved – – – John Brennan, James Clapper and James Comey were all actively involved in perpetrating a huge fraud upon the American public in which the mainstream media was complicit.  Yes, the very same media outlets who told us getting vaccinated would keep us from getting Covid, that it was racist to even state that Covid could possibly have emerged from a lab in China, and that Joe Biden was as sharp as a tack and ran circles around aides one quarter his age, and that the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation.  Several of the same intelligence officials signed on to the now-infamous letter stating that the laptop from hell had all the indicators of Russian disinformation.  Clearly, it did not bother these people to lie, and John Brennan seems to have been caught red-handed doing just that in the newly released emails and documents.

The debunked and discredited Steele dossier, paid for by Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, was at the very heart of the attempt to derail President Trump’s first administration and pave the way for his impeachment.  In fact, as Sperry points out, a report issued by the U.S. House of Representatives concludes that Brennan grasped at semantics to justify the interpretation he wished to make.  It was hanging by a hair, not a fingernail.  There was never any classified report that indicated Putin had tried to help elect Trump.  Then the report fires a rocket right into the Obama White House.  “The ICA judgement on Putin’s thoughts about helping candidate Trump does not stand if [Brennan’s] single interpretation of the fragment [from the tip that Putin was ‘counting on’ Trump winning] is wrong, because there is no other intelligence corroborating it.”  Uh oh.

Where the ox fell into the ditch was when Donald Trump did the unexpected and won the 2016 presidential election.  Sperry writes that is when the Obama administration had to give the whole thing another look.  Sperry writes, “On the eve of the 2016 election, Brennan sent a ‘Fusion Cell’ memo to Obama summarizing all the most secret, compartmented intel gathered on Trump and Russia.”  In a memo written on November 6, 2016, Brennan concluded, “Putin expected [Clinton] to win.”  After Obama wanted to revisit the intelligence, Brennan seized on the hearsay comment from a Russian informant who knew as much about Putin’s thinking as I do.

The House report naturally points out that John Brennan had misled (a polite way of saying he lied to) both the public and Congress.  Nor was he really honest with other members of the intelligence community.  When some senior intelligence officers argued with Brennan about including the questionable statement, which they believed should not be included, period, Brennan said, “Yes, but doesn’t it ring true?”

Paul Sperry writes at length about this, and for curious readers, it is well worth visiting the Real Clear Politics website.  This story will only continue to grow.

Go Away, Hunter … Please

Hunter Biden has reappeared in an expletive-filled and far too lengthy interview in which he defends his father.  Joe Biden’s awful debate performance was due to having been given Ambien to help him sleep, in case you didn’t know.  Hunter trashes George Clooney, although he and the actor have much in common as far as their political expertise and self-awareness are concerned. It is largely an exercise in stupidity, and Hunter seems clueless to the fact that nobody takes him seriously.

The same Democrats squalling about the Epstein files had nothing to say about the First Son taking in millions of dollars while cashing in on his father’s name and spending much of the proceeds on hookers and drugs.  The sorry and disgusting self-images recorded by Hunter himself documenting his descent into drug addiction was Russian disinformation, remember?  And those same Democrats were too busy trying to bankrupt and imprison Donald Trump during the four years of the Biden regime to spend a moment thinking about Jeffrey Epstein.  What exactly did Merrick Garland do about that?

NEA Is Wrong As Usual

For most thinking people, it has long been readily apparent that the National Education Association has continually placed the interests of children and parents well behind that of teachers.  The largest teachers’ union in the country, the three-million member NEA, just recently voted to divorce the Anti-Defamation League.  The NEA has declared the Anti-Defamation League is not “the social justice educational partner it claims to be.”  On July 6, the NEA voted to cut all ties with the ADL.  Some of the representatives speaking from the floor during the debate were critical of the Anti-Defamation League for what they termed its overuse of the term “antisemitism” in referring to critics of Israel.   Some of those same voices claimed the ADL overused and inflated statistics on hate crimes in order to worry people about crimes against Jews.  It is yet another overt act of hypocrisy on the Left.  In essence, the NEA doesn’t want to teach about antisemitism.  How long will it be before they no longer wish to teach about the Holocaust or simply teach that it never happened?
