Gibbs Midway IGA

The event brought lots of fun to the grocery store parking lot!  Early in the summer, Cruze Farm, Snow Daddy’s, and 99.1 The Sports Animal were among the attractions outside the Midway IGA in Gibbs Center, Corryton, Tennessee.  Since the change of ownership earlier this year, several updates have taken place such as adding all LED bulbs in the parking lot and resealing the parking lot.  Inside the store, many new items have been added to store shelves.

Some of the best trends established by the Longmire family, who were the previous owners, have not changed—especially the local hometown feel and community involvement.  Haven Gopal, the new owner, is very involved in the community working with area churches, donating to Gibbs High School, and supporting the community food drive.  Looking ahead, a remote broadcast is planned for the fall, and preparations are underway for the upcoming holiday season.  As the IGA continues working to maintain business and modernize, they welcome new customers and “old” customers as well.  And yes, another trend at the store continues—they still have that popular fried chicken!
