Scott Mingus, author of 17 Civil War books, and his biography of confederate General William “Extra Billy” Smith, will lecture on “The Louisiana Tigers in the Gettysburg Campaign.” Scott Mingus, who had a number of articles in the Gettysburg Magazine and has written six scenario books on miniature war gaming, will also focus on The Second Battle of Winchester with anecdotes of the Tigers’ time in the Keystone State. The lecture will begin at 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the Bearden Banquet Hall, 5806 Kingston Pike. Lecture only cost $5, students free. Dinner is at 7 p.m., $17 including lecture.
