The Oak Ridge Civic Music Association is pleased to present the Oak Ridge Chorus, led by Chorus Director Jaclyn Johnson, in a festive holiday concert on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Oak Ridge.  The Oak Ridge Chorus will be joined by the University of Tennessee Concert Choir and members of the Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra.

“I am thrilled for our upcoming joint concert featuring the Oak Ridge Chorus, UT Concert Choir, and musicians from the Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra!” said Chorus Director, Jaclyn Johnson.  “This is the Oak Ridge Chorus as you have not heard them in years!”  The choirs will perform Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols and Handel’s Messiah Part I and the Hallelujah from Part II.  The audience will be invited to join in a festive sing-along for an arrangement of holiday carols by Oak Ridge musician, David Ensley.


The Oak Ridge Chorus is a community chorus, which rehearses weekly under the direction of Jaclyn Johnson.  Anyone interested in joining the chorus for the spring season should contact the ORCMA office at (865) 483-5569.


The University of Tennessee Concert Choir is an auditioned, mixed ensemble of 50-55 singers whose membership represents a variety of academic disciplines at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.


The Oak Ridge Civic Music Association is a proud participant in the Penny4Arts program.  All students, 18 & under, may attend any Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra, Chorus, or Chamber Music concert for free during the 2017-18 season.  General admission is $15; a discounted young adult ticket (ages 19-29) is available for $5.  Seating is limited for this performance; advance reservations are recommended.  Tickets are available at or by calling (865) 483-5569.
