Smokin’ Salmon Swim Team hosts Pooch Plunge – a pool party for dogs!

Saturday, September 10, 2022, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Mark your calendars, Knoxville dog lovers! On September 10 there will be an epic dog pool party you and your pooch will not want to miss! The inaugural Pooch Plunge fundraiser will run from 10:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. and be held at the Allen Rosen Aquatic Center located at the Knoxville Jewish Alliance, 6800 Deane Hill Drive, Knoxville, TN 37919. This event is a fundraiser benefitting the AJCC Smokin’ Salmon swim team with a portion of proceeds being donated to Adopt a Golden Knoxville.

The event will consist of four separate swimming sessions each lasting 45 minutes and starting at the top of every hour. There is fun to be had by every pup! We have a large pool for the avid swimmer, a small and separately fenced shallow baby pool for our smaller breeds, and a large grassy area for the pups that wish for a less drenching experience.

It might be a pool party for the dogs, but it will be just as fun for the humans. We will have music, beverages, sponsors, vendors, and more!

Event coordinator Kaleigh McVety, veterinarian and swim team parent, says “Everyone is welcome whether they do or do not have a doggy escort so please come out and enjoy yourselves while donating to a great cause!”
