Lunacy
The whole Democrat Party is on the ballot [in the NYC mayor election].

According to Mr. Webster, it is now considered offensive to label someone as a lunatic, a word derived from the Latin lunaticus, defined as “someone suffering from a mental or neurological disorder allegedly affected by the phases of the moon.” I don’t believe the moon (luna) or planetary bodies affect human behavior. Nor do I believe in werewolves who are transformed by a full moon. However, an OB nurse friend maintains that babies drop on full moons and ER wisdom holds that crazies flock under intense moonlight.
Maybe it’s fortunate that there will not be a full moon during the NYC mayoral election and reason might prevail in Gotham. But I doubt it. The polls and experts predict that NYC is poised to elect a foreign born communist with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, who has never had a real job, as mayor of NYC. The alternatives are Covid Cuomo or Catman Sliwa.
Forty percent of New Yorkers are foreign born and one third don’t speak English, so Marxist class warfare of Democrat socialist Mamdani’s platform plays well among the disadvantaged. But socialism also seems to be playing well among hipsters and liberal Karens even though history shows that communism and socialism always fail.
You might think Mamdani’s plans for rent control, government grocery stores, free bus rides, sanctuary city and tax-the-rich policies don’t have implications for Knoxville and the rest of the country. But you’d be wrong. Democrat socialists AOC and Bernie Sanders have already taken their agenda nationwide in their Oligarchy Tour. And with Mamdani poised to be mayor of capitalism’s Mecca, the trio will be the undisputed leaders of the Democrat party. Schumer, Pelosi and the old guard are finished. They just refuse to accept the new reality.
Interestingly, I read that under New York state law the governor can remove the mayor of New York City. I doubt that Kathy Hochul has the courage to save Gotham. She’s about to be primaried by a Democrat candidate more left than she is. Even the Congressional Democrat Minority Leader, Hakeem Jeffries finally endorsed Mamdani and metaphorically “kissed the ring.” The only upside of this impending catastrophe is that it will be the last nail in the coffin of the Democrat party.
Democrats have apparently lost their minds. California Congressman Eric Swalwell is even demanding that any 2028 Democrat presidential candidate must promise to immediately tear down President Trump’s “big, beautiful ballroom.” There can be no doubt that the mental irrationality of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is real. And among Democrats and their loons in the legacy media TDS has now morphed into Ballroom Derangement Syndrome.
But the Schumer Shutdown is a far bigger political disaster for Democrats. You have to wonder if they have truly lost their minds. Speaker Mike Johnson says that budget negotiations can resume if the Democrats would just vote to reopen the government. But they won’t because they would lose their “political leverage.”
You might wonder why 41 million Americans are on food stamps, but the immediate reality is that on November 1 there will be no supplementary food benefits from the government. And disturbingly soldiers and air traffic controllers are not being paid during the Democrat’s Shutdown. But don’t worry, Congressmen are receiving their paychecks. Lunacy!
The Democrats are demanding that the Obamacare subsidies they designed to expire be continued. Furthermore, Democrats demand that illegals get Medicaid through “work arounds” which were removed in the Big Beautiful Bill legislation. And the Dems want left wing media mouth pieces like NPR to be funded and rural hospital support ended. Lunacy!
I could not gamble like Democrats are doing with the Schumer Shutdown. Gambling does not do it for me. In fact, I find it to be the antonym (opposite) of prudence. If I donated a dollar to a charity raffle and won $1000 I might be happy, but it would not give me joy. By contrast, hitting a 4 iron pure to 3 feet from the hole and sinking the putt for a birdie, would give me joy. Arguably, some might find this an example of lunacy!
Consequently, I am not tempted to do sports betting. And I would caution everyone to stay away from it, given the recent NBA basketball and poker scandals associated with NYC’s mafia.
I’ve begun to wonder whether media types and politicians are unaware that we live in the era of the Internet and anything posted exists forever. I offer NBC’s anchorette Nicole Wallace as an example. Tweedledum recently said she couldn’t remember any Democrat comparing President Trump to Hitler and Nazis. I won’t list the numerous examples on the Internet. Maybe she has early onset dementia. Maybe she’s just a liberal, lying loon with hate induced TDS.
Has the word now gone out to disavow inflammatory rhetoric because people with common sense realize this is associated with the rise in political violence? In fact, 85% believe there has been an increase in political violence. People with gender dysphoria, borderline personality disorders or other irrational people with TDS have undoubtedly been influenced by the tirades of Joe Biden, numerous media types and Democrats comparing people to Hitler, Nazis or claiming MAGA people are violent terrorists, racists or homophobes. Is there any wonder why Charlie Kirk and Minnesota legislators were shot and Trump was almost assassinated twice? I might somewhat excuse the remarks of Biden since loss of frontal lobe function in dementia is often associated with irrational outbursts.
Democrats have no policies and little else but the Schumer Shutdown. And whining about the White House Ballroom, President Trump blowing up narcoterrorists, departing criminal aliens, bringing investments back to America to re-industrialize our country, settling wars or leaving Washington to make deals in Asia and confront China is Lunacy! Democrats are even trying to blame Trump for starving Americans, ignoring that the Democrats just voted for the 14th time to keep the government shutdown. Lunacy!
Cognitive dissonance is a psychological term which describes unease when you have conflicting beliefs or attitudes. Maybe this is why I rarely see a liberal smile. They seem to walk around with frowns like they just swallowed something bitter. Seattle reporter Brandi Kruse discovered she’s “happier, healthier and prettier after ditching TDS.” Cognitive dissonance can’t be the reason Democrats always seem to be angry. Democrats have purged any notions that might conflict with their pursuit of power and party.
